I thought it was time to send you all an update as to what's happening at PGA
Upgrade of Board and Arcade
This is scheduled to take place over the weekend 14th & 15th April 2012, since announcing our plans to upgrade, Invision have announced end of life for our current board (3.1.4) and in the last week have launched version 3.3 which we will be upgrading to, our arcade will be upgraded from 1.0 to the newest version 5 where the board layout is much easier for us all to navigate and the arcade has new features for you to experience. Debbie & I are working on some help topics to assist you when we launch. PGA will go off-line for a short period of time while the upgrade takes place.
Arcade Re-set
Our date to re-set has been re-scheduled and will now take place on Friday 13th April at midnight (BST UK time) ~ with the upgrade taking place the following day, we felt this was better than re-setting on 10th April (our original date), only for members who would be playing and building their scores and then they all go again when we go on to the new board
You are more than welcome to continue playing after 0.01am Saturday 14th April 2012 (BST) when the re-set has taken place but please bear in mind that the arcade will close later that day and the site will be off-line while the upgrade takes place
Team Games
We have finished our team games in the Phase II stage, we know you all miss them, they are very popular but Phase III will be a new format with only 2 teams, much larger, so if team members cant play one or two weeks for whatever reason, we hope that it will not dent the whole team scores as much as it has in the past.
Debbie has sent all team members a reminder to choose their game for Phase III, so if you have not already done so, please let Debbie or Ros have your choice
Phase III of the Team Games in the new format will start on Monday 16th April 2012 at midnight (BST)
Phoenix Game Challenge
This is where our members can play 10 games to be the best of the best, the prize is either a month's VIP pass or massive amount of points (if you have won the VIP pass in the last month or existing VIP has had 1 extra month's membership added to their account) Full details are posted in the forums. The current Phoenix Game Challenge will end on 9th April and the winner will have points awarded or a VIP pass (if VIP pass is awarded this will end on 31st May) Owing to the re-set and the board upgrade, we felt this was fair to extend the competition to cover it, ie the April PGA Challenge will will benefit from the rest of April to the end of May, if a VIP pass is awarded)
VIP Game Challenge
New game is now in play (Truck Toss) this will end on 13th April, trophy will be awarded before we upgrade
Bank Holiday Bonanza
Just to end - we have one of our Bank Holiday Bonanza's again, all games in Game Installs and VIP categories have been opened to all members to play, so please do have fun. These categories will now be available to all members until we upgrade the board (14th April 2012)
Thank you to all of you for your continued support and patience, especially over the last month or so, when we have experienced little pockets of downtime, but all seems stable now so I hope I havent talked anything up!
