When you visit a new place, you likely have an opinion about it or want to share something cool you discovered while there.  Findery allows you to leave notes on any location and discover the notes of others.

You may remember Findery from when one of its founders, Caterina Fake, shared how she works.  We were able to provide invites to the closed beta, but now the webapp has opened its doors to anyone.  The webapp is very simple to use—you just add a note to any location or read notes from other people in the area.  Want to know if someone like a restaurant you happen to be next to?  Just check your location on Findery and see if anyone left a note.  If you eat there, you can share your experience as well.

Of course, Findery isn’t limited to restaurants.  You can leave a note at a park bench or any other location.  The webapp allows you to include photos and tag your notes for easy discovery.  You can also follow others to see what they’re regularly finding around the world.  Currently Findery is web-based, but the mobile version of their site works quite well for leaving notes on the go.  Accounts are free, so go sign up and try it out.
